Pfizer, Inc. is an American multinational pharmaceutical corporation headquartered in New York City. It is one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies by revenues. When a pharmaceutical company as large as Pfizer needs to streamline their company workflow, it’s time to put away the technological placebo, and administer some powerful digital medicine.
A renowned provider of pharmaceutical solutions around the world when it came to a digital solutions, Pfizer knew where to come: Appnovation, a trusted Atlassian partner, with a portfolio of life science and pharmaceutical projects under our belt.
Our Approach
Combining our unique industry experience and existing relationship, gained from previous work on several Pfizer projects, we created a project plan: to help the company gain better visibility and control over its Jira instances, by consolidating multiple instances that were previously owned by its vendors.
The goal? Pfizer needed to migrate, configure, and consolidate multiple company server instances into a central cloud Jira instance, streamlining the IT set up for their in-house digital team.
Our close relationship and collaboration with Pfizer allowed us to work with their IT team, to clearly define workflow standards and usage, ensuring that we adhere to our client's Jira policies while delivering all requirements. In short, a digital solution was needed, and migration work was critical.
Customer Outcome
Using our expert knowledge as an Atlassian partner, we created an Atlassian Jira based business solution, one that enabled the team to adopt the agile delivery methodology. Thanks to our development of their new workflow, their delivery teams collaboration capabilities were greatly enhanced, as was their project management status visibility functionality.
By consolidating the Jira instances (with about 300 projects in total and thousands of users) Appnovation was able to drastically reduce the number of workflows, and significantly improve the digital capabilities of the Pfizer team.
