Business Challenge
The Belgian arm of Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) needed an interactive platform with complex capabilities, but simple functionalities. A superior user experience that boosts engagement with seamless social integration was high priority. At the same time, being able to implement rapid response strategies during a crisis was critical.
Our Approach
The challenge for this project was three-fold: provide a platform to create an organized alumni directory, create a site aimed at sharing information with each other and ingrain enough agility into the platform to quickly create a crisis page.
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Belgium organized focus groups to find out what former employees would be interested in, allowing digital solutions to be developed based on real client requirements. Our conceptual proposal for the platform included design, development, digital strategy, integration options, features and wireframes.
Customer Outcome
With a publically-accessible homepage, a registration and credential portal that incorporated high security and user experience was one of the many competitive advantages we created. Our digital solution included information collection, integration with the directory subject to further approval and developing a more secure platform. We delivered a complex platform that leveraged the Drupal 8 content management system to support the sharing of expertise and stories, accept topic suggestions, conduct active conversations and keep the audience informed about events and jobs.
