The Columbia University Office of Alumni and Development (CUOAD) wanted to rethink sections of their digital ecosystem and transition; from static and purely informational to interactive and dynamic websites, to serve their users and internal content creators.

The Giving site was the first of Columbia's properties to undergo transformation. We conducted discovery workshops with CUOAD stakeholders and took into account shared needs across design, content, and infrastructure. We completely redesigned the Giving site in the first phase of the project and launched it with a new look and revamped navigation that makes it easier for visitors to find what they’re looking for. For the second phase of the project, we created a content hub that allows content created for one site to be published across multiple sites. We also future-proofed our solution by integrating SSO/social login, analytics, and a consolidated search functionality.
