Business Challenge
Ipsen is a global biopharmaceutical group dedicated to improving lives through innovative medicines in Oncology, Neuroscience and Rare Diseases. Because of a lack of visual and content coordination between regional sites, Ipsen decided to consolidate and streamline their global platform, which is based on Wordpress, with an experience led approach, to drive greater engagement for each of its brands.
Appnovation was tasked with performing a comprehensive redesign, and full redevelopment of Ipsen’s corporate website, and the unification of global and brands online presence.
Ipsen.Online covers more than 30 websites around the world addressing the needs of patients, doctors, medical researchers and shareholders. Despite this vast portfolio, Ipsen felt they lacked cohesion and a unified branding/user experience across their online assets
The purpose of the Ipsen.Online Initiative was to bring unity and superior user experience to their e-audiences across the world, and by doing so we will:
Project the image of a dynamic, innovative biopharma company who is at the front of digital advancements
Improve customer experience, develop relevant content and increase engagement
Elevate the burden from local teams so they can focus on developing added value content and campaigns
Our Approach
Having assessed different digital options, Appnovation opted to continue with Wordpress CMS, largely as it more closely aligned with Ipsen’s business requirements, which included one international website with 15 country selections, a careers page, and design templates for each Ipsen brand. Appnovation came equipped with both the expertize, experience, and technical tools to create a best-in-class website, an online experience that is compliant, responsive, and engaging.
Customer Outcome
After a two-month content migration period featuring over 400 content pages in multiple languages, Appnovation delivered Ipsen a single international website with 15 country selections.
In addition, Appnovation furnished Ipsen a careers page, and design templates for each individual Ipsen brand, each one flexible but firm in conveying the correct regional imprint for Ipsen.
The new Ipsen site is hundreds of pages, responsive and fully accessible. Using Appnovation’s WordPress CMS, a made-to-order platforming solution, and an experience-led approach, Ipsen is now driving greater worldwide engagement for each of its brands.
